Right click on "Working Diagrams" pane to add new diagrams
A contextual menu for the "Working Diagrams" pane would allow more intuitive and fast creation of new diagrams.

Default attribute, parameter and method return type
Create options in preference window to allow us to define the default type for new elements into a class, namely: attributes, method parameters and method return.

Decimal scale and precision in an ERD
When choosing CHAR or VARCHAR for a column, the user is allowed to specify the size as an integer value. So entering 5 into the field would display CHAR(5) or VARCHAR(5) in the diagram. However, for DECIMAL columns, there should be two values - PRECISION which represents the total length of the number and SCALE represents the decimal places. So, DECIMAL(5,2) can represent a maximum value of 999.99 for the column. The functionality for having two fields to enter such values should be added to StarUML. If the SCALE field is empty, then it wouldn't be displayed in the diagram,…

Two clicks on a strong dependency should edit the role properties instead of relationship itself
When we creating a strong dependency, such as a agregation, composition or directly dependency, we are expecting edit its role, setting name and documentation. Today, to do this, you need to do a double-click in the ending of destination of dependency. This isn't easy to figure out and, as result, our generated classes are being generated with atributes (roles) without its names or descriptions, because we thought editing the role properties when we was editing the relationship properties.

To write a documention should be as easy as create it
It's quite easy create a class, operation, atribute or role, but to describe the documentation, you need to access the lateral menu. This is inducing users to avoid to document. It should there a easy way to do it, like a shortcut, or even one of those little icons which you already use for another task.

Activity diagram - Decision has no text
Currently the decision tool/shape in activity diagrams has no label to type in to it. It’s essential it has one. Also, it would be great if this text wrapped nicely to the diamond shape that encloses it.

Support automatic layout from the command line or from mdgen
We would like to create some diagrams automatically and let StarUML perform some automatic layout directly from the JSON without starting the user interface.

DPI scaling / HiDPI support in Linux
In 2.4 HiDPI support was supposedly added in 2.4 for Mac Retina display and DPI scaling awareness added for Windows but under Linux it seems there is still no DPI size adjustment so the UI all looks tiny on HiDPI displays. Adding proper scaling/DPI adjustment support under Linux would help make StarUML more usable on Linux when using devices like the Chromebook Pixel or Dell XPS 13 as well as 4K monitors.

Add stylus
It'll be great to have some stylus support like DrawExpress do (http://www.drawexpress.com/). Many Windows tablets (and one from Apple now) are utilizing a stylus for comfortable handwriting.

StarUML to Atlassian Confluence/JIRA Plugin
Adding support for this application would enable you to generate your StarUML projects as documents within confluence and allow greater collaboration on these diagrams and have them maintained and organised within a document management system.
If you make a change to the model it automatically updates it in confluence when checked in from StarUML.
JIRA tasks can be worked on from within StarUML.

When I print a uml to Pdf, I can't see preview last image of printing until making pdf file. is it possible now? or future?

Label Positioning in Component Diagram
the possibility to position interfaces labels in the components diagram would be great.

How to have finer control over positioning
Sadly it seems I'm unable to position elements with greater control, there seems to be a minimum step size when moving horizontally and vertically which prevents me from have itens properly aligned making it impossible to have fully vertical and horizontal arrows.

More verbose error message
When drawing connections / relations StarUML sometimes just complains with a too simple error message, leaving the user unknown what the underlying problem really is and how it could be solved. E.g. draw "interface realization" just gives "Invalid connection" error popup but it does not explain why it is invalid !?!?

Bug: It is impossible to reuse self messages across multiple time-sequence diagrams.
It is possible to reuse regular messages by drag & drop them into a new diagrams, but it does not work for self messages.

More control on the details of the HTML Report generation
Add more control on the details of the generated HTML report.
Not all stakeholder are interested on all the details ...
Some may need only outlines, description and diagrams
while others may want to see all the details
and there are others in between.
Giving control over the details of the generated report will help to satisfy all stakeholders types.2 votes
