Same height and width
In the Editors > Styles menu there could be added 2 buttons for making selected items of the same type equal in height and width.

Creating instance of class on top of package should add it as child of package
Class instance isn't added as child of package until it is moved slightly even though it was drawn on top of package

Move items up down in explorer should retain focus
Would be helpful if when moving items up and down in the explorer using the shortcut keys focus should remain on the selected item so that subsequent moves can be achieved without needing to reselect the item again. Can be very laborious on large diagrams.

Multiple selections in Explorer
In "Explorer" moving things to be sub items of diagrams seems to be a single item at a time experience (unless i missed anything.) Would save time to be able to control-click or shift-click to select multiple items in explorer to move.

Menu popping up unexpectedly
When selecting an alternative in the Editors pane like visibility (for a class) or multiplicity (for a relation), then also the File menu pops up. It doesn't seem to do anything harmful but it is not neat. This happens in the Ubuntu 32 bit version that I'm evaluating. Thanks!

Set author and company in preference
Do not need to add author and company for every project.

Intersecting lines always cause me an issue
I want to suggest two features; First feature is that when multiple classes inherit one class, the generalization lines should join in a single line:
http://service-architecture.static-barryandassociates.com/images/database/class-inheritance.jpgThe second feature is that when two lines intersect, there should be a distinction between them:

Support Arch Linux Installer
Since your team has added an Ubuntu installer, it would be helpful to support other popular distros that are not directly compatible with the DPKG route.
Please add a PacMan installer for the Arch crowd.
Thanks!

Keyboard Accesibility
I like your product. But I want to edit UML models faster.
In the explorer tool window I cannot navigate around using the arrow keys. Up arrow and Down arrow do not currently move the selected item.
The 'menu' key on the keyboard brings up the context menu, but I forced to grab the mouse to expand the 'add' menu.
When I create a new class in the class view, allow me to type the signature of the method, and then you parse that and create the model elements.
+SomeMethod(input1 : string, input2 : string) : bool
Then, move me…

Individual "View-Area" for each Diagram
Imagine the following situaton:
Multiple diagrams of different complexity and size are opened.
You have to work with all of them (add an element in one, look up something in another one, modify a third one, ...)At some point you won't be able to work with the diagram if it is completely visible. So you zoom in to view only a specific section of the diagram.
Now, if you switch to one of the other diagrams, the view-area stays in this exact position/zoom-level, even if the new diagram is
vastly smaller (or even empty, because its a new one)…18 votes -
class diagram from xcode.proj file
As, Objective-c is one of the fastest growing language, it would be great if Star UML can support creating class diagram from xcode.proj file

Whenever the user selects some classes through ctrl+shift, he/she is able to generate an image from them.

IDEF0 notation
I would be great if StarUML would support IDEF0 notation somehow. I guess, it might be out of scope of this product, but it is a really great way to model business processes and there are no modern cross-platform tools to help design them.
