  1. Redo/Undo not consistent

Sorry if I'm miss-using this as bug tracker. Is there a better way to report bugs?

In Sequence Diagram Editor, moving a Label of a message does not create a history step. When undoing, a previous action is rolled back.

    Stepts to reproduce:

    • Create a Sequence Diagram

    • add two lifelines and a message

    • move the label of the message by dragging it to another location

    • Press CTRL-Z (or use edit -> undo)

    Expected behavior:
The Label should be moved back to its original position

    Actual bevaviour:
The "Create Message" action is rolled back

  5. Text / Comment formatting

Allowing text and comment objects to contain formmating (bold, italics, underline, different colours etc.) would be good.

  7. Maintaining containment relationship between components

Placing a component inside another component should create a durable containment relationship.

  8. class name

Please allow me to give a class any name, such as:

Foo::Bar for a class Bar in namespace Foo
    or
    Bar<T> for a template class

  9. Drawing and annotating on separate layer

A feature that allows drawing with typical annotation-tool ( lines, arrows, boxes, text, freehand ) on top of any diagram would be very useful while developing and brainstorming/collaborating on a solution.

It could be implemented on a completely separate graphics layer with no added complexity in terms of connectivity to the diagram elements.
It would just need to scale along with the diagram layer.

Currently I use StarUML for generating the diagram, then export to pdf and use PDF-viewer to annotate the diagram. Would be fantastic if StarUML supported this directly.

  11. Make easier to create parametrized constructor

It should be easier to create parametrized construtor. Just using a stereotype, or through some kind of context menu.

Today, you can create it, repeat the attributes and comments and, when you generate code, it always seems like method void.

  12. Remove white border around exported images/

When exporting a diagram as a JPEG or PNG such as a sequence diagram there is a white boarder around the diagram outside the enclosing black lined border. It would be great to remove this. as when pasting into a Word document and adding a caption beneath the diagram the caption ends up being way further below the diagram than it should be.

  15. Bug: viewport blocked in large diagrams

    Look at this video: https://youtu.be/V3LIxSoCGlw

It very annoying as I always must work without zoom to see the whole diagram.

p.s. Why StarUML has no bug tracker?

  16. BUG: Lines with "oblique" style - selection issues

There is an issue with using "oblique" lines: they are selected when I click on empty space somewhere my diagram. It turns to be a real issue when you edit something from the real world (i.e. big enough).

My guess is that a line is got selected if I click somewhere inside a rectangle, which can be build with start and end points of the line in its corners.

  19. Option to show the grid in front of the diagram

It would be nice to have an option/switch/keyboard shortcut to bring the grid in front of all diagram elements. Currently, the alignment and resizing of elements that are inside other elements is hard, because the grid is not visible there - it is hidden behind the containing element.

  20. Group/lock relationships together

Would be great if relationship lines could be locked, so that if one attached object is moved the length/orientation of that line remains constant and drags other objects with it.
