  1. Better use of colour

It's great to finally use StarUML on a Mac.

But I think the mostly dark UI is not that great. I'm missing a bit more of colour on the tool bar icons and on the Explorer window. StarUML 1 was sure more colourful but without excess. And it was great looking native on Windows. I'd love to have that same feeling with the Mac version. I would suggest that maybe a different approach for the UI would be better for the Mac, perhaps some layout (and colours!) like on Pixelmator would feel great.

Now StarUML 2.0.1 becomes more colorful. We don’t know how you satisfied. Anyway, this feature will be marked as completed. If you have more suggestions on colours, please leave more ideas in detail. Thank you.

  2. Fix stereotypes

Setting the stereotype of a class to <<boundary>>, <<entity>>, <<control>>, <<actor>> or any other predefined stereotype should automatically change the display of the class to that of its icon, as well as the icon on the Explorer window to reflect this.

Unfortunatelly, none do it. Actors are only created from the Use Case View but can be used regularly from it. The other mentioned stereotypes even have shortcuts from the class diagram (seek for Robustness at the bottom of Classes) but only a crossed square is shown for its icon.

Plus, it would be great if we could define other…

  3. XMI Im- and Export

For interoperability with other UML modelling tools it would be nice when StarUML understand the XMI Format.
So you can Im- and Export a model as XMI.
Furthermore is the XMI format a good candidate for a version control systems.

  4. Wrap label text

In an activity diagram text quickly can become larger than the swimlane.
I would suggest to enable text wrap when resizing an action smaller than it's text. Currently resizing only works if the action is larger than it's text.

  5. Brackets conflict

The new version is so beautiful! Congratulations :)

But I has one problem, this version have a conflict with my editor, Brackets.

In first time StarUML uninstalled the Brackets, and when I need use he I has that uninstall StarUML and install Brackets, and repeat this to StartUML when I need of StarUML.

    I hope has helped! :D

  6. Code Generator (Java, C++/C#...)

You could, like the first version of StarUML make StarUML generate code, it was very practical !

You just have to design your diagrams and then the skeleton of your class is done :) It was a very nice feature !

  7. Porting to Linux

It's a very good program but I'm sure that StarUML as a Open Source platform will be and is very important for all the programmers but not all the programmers works in Windows or MacOS so this is my request and for me will be very importat that my request will be taken in tally.

Thanks and congratulations for the very good work in StarUML.
