  2. provide the ability to disable validation

    From time to time it is helpful to be not so strict in modeling first ideas. Therefore it would be very helpful, if the user has the ability to turn of UML validation. For example, it would be nice to have the option to scratch a first idea with just rectangles and arrows. Currently this is not possible. I cannot create two rectangles and have a directed link between those two but rather get an error "Invalid Connection (UMLLink)". Thx, /nm

  3. The Crow Foot notation symbols are not correct

    The "one and only one" and "one or many" notation symbols are not quite correct.

  4. Allow changing of element in another

    When we are designing a system, is common we change our mind about use an interface or class. Models is just a draft until they generate code.

    Would be nice be able to change an element originally create as interface to class and vice-versa.

  7. Add ability to create a Diagram Legend

    One of the cardinal rules of documentation is always have a legend. See e.g. Documenting Software Architectures. It would be nice to have the option to create a legend. Bonus points if StarUML can automatically generate the legend based on UML elements in the diagram.

  9. Allow template parameter substitution's actual to reference the source binding template parameters.

    Currently it is not possible to successfully select a template parameter as the 'actual' of a template parameter substitution from the 'Select type' list, as doing so results in the error

    Selected element (?) is not an instance of a UMLClassifier.

    However it is possible to create a reference to a template parameter by entering the parameter name in the actual's input field and selecting the desired parameter from the suggestion list. However this become very cumbersome.

    A reference is important because it allows changes to the actual's reference to propagate automatically e.g. renaming the source template parameter.

  15. Mouse grabbing canvas tool

    Mouse grabbing tool, middle mouse grab, or "ctrl+Mouse 1" or anything to do navigation without touchpads.
    I have seen that suggestions from 2017 were ignored, is this feature coming? I'm about to buy your tool, but I really can't work without that functionality.
    And mini-map - is not replacement of this functionality. It does not help in such cases.

  16. Either the first or last selected item could be the reference point for aligning to center

    Right now all items jump around when center aligning multiple items. It might be nice if either the first or last selected item stays in place and have the other items adjusted to it, as to have more control over the layout.

  18. Sorting of context menu sort "Add Diagram"

    Hello, can you make the context menu (right click) Add Diagram sort alphabetically A-Z? Or, according to categories? New users must search through the long list to find what they need. Kind Regards

  20. opening files from share

    Currently (with v2.0.0-beta9 (2014/10/01) ) it is not possible to open files from file shares (like SharePoint WebDAV). StarUML silently does nothing, either from the file open dialog or via Windows Explorer.
    This feature is very important for collaboration
