  1. Option to copy styles between visual elements...

    For god sake! I can't believe that nobody mention this...
    Who is designing and app for bloody diagrams without an option to easily copy styles between graphical elements... (like f...g color or font...)

  2. Exporting to 1.x version or saving to .uml for compatibility with lower version

    I'm happy that StartUML2 can import the format of lower version with .uml extension.
    But it will be great if it supports the feature exporting to lower version.

    Running StarUML in mac is very comfortable and Great !!!

  6. Resolution settings for PNG or JPEG export

    Recently I import diagrams in a LaTeX document as PNG, because the import of vector graphics is tricky. But the resolution is way too low for printed documents, so that I have to export it first to Inkscape as SVG and then convert it to 600 dpi PNG.
    It would be great to get asked for the desired resolution on export.

  7. Pan with wheel button click

    Many packages allow panning with the wheel of the mouse held in. This allows very fast panning which is very useful for large diagrams.

  8. Punctuation marks (dash, colon, coma, dot) in the name of the elements.

    Changing the editor to let punctuation marks to be placed in the name of the elements in a model - for example the name of a use case. To be able to put dash, comma, colon or dot in the name of the elements.

  9. Drag canvas around with spacebar held

    Just like in programs like Photoshop or Sketch - pressing and holding spacebar puts the program to "dragging" mode where you only can drag the canvas around instead of its elements.

  10. Allow for text alignment options in elements

    Create the ability to align text in relation to the element to which it belongs. For example: Top Left, Bottom Right, Middle Center.

    Vertical Alignment should offer: Top, Middle, Bottom
    Horizontal Alignment should offer: Left, Center, Right, Justified

  15. Allow adding a forward slash character in a sequence diagram's message

    When adding a / character in the name property of a Message in a sequence diagram on the canvas it shakes and doesn't allow it. However I am able to add / characters in the name property using the Editors UI.

  17. Return the "Generate Word" doc capability

    The original's ability to export into a Word Template was brilliant and i truly miss it. For those that don't know - the original StarUML would export all of the diagrams, and notes/descriptions into a Word document. You would tell it where to put the diagrams etc. via key words in the Word Document template. it was an awesome way to maintain documentation, i could use our regular company documentation templates, add the keywords into the document template and bang.. always up to date, looks fantastic.

  20. Make it availabe on RPM-based systems

    The Linux version of StarUML is currently only a .deb package. You should build it as .rpm as well, to support distributions other than Debian/Ubuntu.
