  1. More customization options for all types of lines

    Such as width/weight of line, arrow type, etc.

    Arrow type customization is available for free lines but not specific lines (e.g., control flow for activity diagram).

  2. Conceptual Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD)

    ERD in relational form already exists in the tool but not the conceptual one with rectangles and diamonds. I use the latter a lot in my projects and it's missing.

  3. Search input field in generated HTML Docs

    In extensive documentation, the core ability is to actually find things.
    It would be great, to see such feature in generated docs.
    I see that StarUML already uses jQuery in its generated HTML Docs.

  4. Create an automatic ERD diagram creator from a populated model, including properly routed interlinks

    The excellent plugin https://github.com/kkrisz1/staruml-reverse-db.git , with a few tweaks, still works and in my effort to reverse engineer a legacy codebase I inherited, I managed to pull the existing MySql table schemas up into a StarUML model. Good first step.

    I now need to expose this model in a human-readable form (entity relationship diagram) and I want this diagram production, including all table interlink routes and multiplicity end adornments, automated.

    I would think by now that the technology required to do automated 2d graph production would be relatively well understood, this would be a really useful feature to have.

  5. Autowiring Feature

    Very nice product! However, when making flowcharts in particular, it is very difficult to add connectivity between several blocks. For example three blocks feeding into one, using the wiring feature ("Flow") results in the connections being unevenly spaced on the target process and branching in random directions (some traverse horizontally others vertically before turning to connect to the target process).

  7. Feature Request - Enhanced LifeLines in Sequence Diagrams

    I hope this request finds you well. I am writing to request a specific enhancement to your UML diagram software, particularly in the Sequence Diagrams section.

    As a software engineer working extensively with UML diagrams, I find the need to represent different types of LifeLines, such as Control LifeLine, Boundary LifeLine, and Entity LifeLine. Unfortunately, I noticed that the current version of your software does not support these features.

  9. Fix display of constraints (standard and custom)

    It seems show/suppress constraints doesn't do anything on class diagrams. If I define an attribute with standard constraints ("unique", "readOnly" etc) and custom constraints, the "show/suppress constraints" menu item doesn't seem to do anything. The standard constraints are always shown, while the custom constraints are never shown in the diagram.

  11. Improve Composite State Regions on StateChart diagrams

    There are a number of issues with Composite State Regions:

    • Creating a Composite State adds a default, unnamed Region (nice). However, this region does not resize when resizing the State shape (very annoying: have to resize BOTH region AND state each time something changes)

    • Even if above behavior is intentional (e.g. to allow partial displaying of a region by setting the size of the enclosing State smaller) then provide a means to "autosize" and/or "lock" the size of the region to the enclosing State. It seems that the height of the region is a property of the model element, not…

  16. Export zoom

    We can zoom in or out of a diagram while using the app but when exporting the zoom of the diagram is fixed. One should be able to define a zoom to render diagrams when exporting in order to produce better quality images that could be used in documents and presentations.

  17. Provide a configurable table view

    Many business focused tools provide a way to view elements within a table presentation. The uses would be to view lists of items, with customized columns that are populated based on a configured relationship you want to view. For example, the list would be Use Cases and a column could be to show any actor that has an association to the use case. A second column would be any activity that is related to the use case, and so on.

  18. Portrait mode

    My Windows desktop is Portrait mode, with 1080x1920 resolution. But the Explorer, Editors, Properties, Documentation panels are docked in the east side, the center workspace is very narrow. I suggest the tool panels can be dragged to other places.

  19. Add more control over moving items through the different levels of the diagram.

    It would be useful if there was an option to move an item backwards or forwards a single level on the diagram. The move to front/back option is good but there have been certain cases where I have had to use these options multiple times on multiple items to make a single item viewable in the way I want.
